Apparently not. You beat me to it by at nearly a week. FWIW, I knew someone who was shot in the head with birdshot (he said it was an accident) and came to work the next day.
Hell, I was shot with something from a shotgun (not sure what it was. Could have been saltpeter, for all I know).
It didn’t do anything but break the skin in a couple of places. But this was from a pretty good distance. And it wasn’t by accident.
Saltpeter? I hesitate to guess the result of *that* attack. Rock salt is popular among those wishing to cause pain without undue harm.
Oh yeah! Rock salt. I guess I don’t do enough shooting of shotguns.
Saltpeter is what the nuns prescribe, right?
AIUI, saltpeter is used to reduce male sex drive, or as an ingredient in explosives.
FWIW, I’ve never fired a shotgun. Saying that, and seeing it written down, makes me feel somehow inadequate. A 45 just isn’t enough.
