Congratulations! So what did you think of the process?
I think it was probably the only way I’d be able to carve out the time to write it.
Every time I asked Pauline to watch the baby or do one of my chores, we both knew that it was for this month only, and only to make this deadline.
So it was good. But I don’t think I need to do it again. A lot of people get into the social part of it, but I didn’t really bother very much with that.
congratulations rob,
im quite sure everyone has thought about writing a book at some time. More to the point though i think everyone comes up with a reason not to give it a try when the only thing we really need is self commitment. Do you plan on posting “The Defenders” or do you have ambitions on having it published?.
Once again congratulations on your achievement.
Cheers
Thanks, James!
The first 16,000 words or so are published at the “read all about it” link in the post above. I posted them as I wrote them.
And if anyone reads all that and wants more, then let me know. So far, only my mom and my wife have gotten that far!
Again and always, it’s an extremely rough draft with all kinds of stuff I started but never developed, one-dimensional characters, and not much polish.
I haven’t even begun to edit any part of it, and I’m not sure I ever will! I really don’t have any plans to try to get it published.
