Last night/this morning, as I couldn’t sleep from fever and other annoying symptoms of an ear infection, I watched The Lady from Shanghai.
The movie? Interesting in bits. Whatever. But man, was Rita Hayworth beautiful. Good God.

Yes, she certainly was beautiful. If I were religious, I’d agree that it is a good God who produced such a lovely creature. As it is, I have to simply marvel at the results of evolution.
Evolution has also produced in us an appreciation of that particular arrangement of cells.
I wouldn’t have said it as “also”, but we are in agreement. It is interesting that the overwhelming majority of human males (to the extent that the exceptions are true freaks) aren’t at all aroused, or even aware, of females of other species being in estrus.
But why would it be otherwise?
