If anyone’s interested in Agatha Christie, or books, check out this beast. The front cover is over a foot away from the back cover.
Funny thing is, it’s only 4,000 pages. They could have made it bigger all round, sparing the footlongedness of it all. But obviously they didn’t want to!
At today’s exchange rate that works out to 42 cents per page. Think of all the paperbacks I could buy at the second hand store!
Well, really, that’s nothing compared to really expensive books. And I don’t mean old ones, either.
The Domesday Facsimile is on the pricey side, though you get more than just one book.
The Queen Mary Atlas is a touch more expensive than your everyday paperback.
I don’t get why you want to own the Domesday Book at any price. The content is meaningless and it’s available online anyway.
The Queen Mary Atlas I can somewhat understand.
I don’t really care about the Domesday book, but I assume that people look at it as they would a piece of art.
