Walk Tall Walkman

Thirty short years ago, the scene changed. Happy birthday, Walkman!

This kid wore one for a week and wrote a little report (remembering to use lots of big words like “plethora” and “aesthetically.” Kids have to prove that they’re adults).

The most best line was: “It took me three days to figure out that there was another side to the tape.”

I love that.

The nextest best line was: “I’m relieved that the majority of technological advancement happened before I was born.”

That shows a lack of perception and perspective that only a kid could have. He has no idea that today’s iPod will look clumsy and antique to his own kids.
