I don&#8217;t want it to appear at the top of the blog.<\/p>\n<p>But here&#8217;s something I&#8217;ve been idly thinking about when I take a break from my currently extremely frustrating job:<\/p>\n<p>Water boils (at sea level) at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Does that mean that it&#8217;s legit to say that water at 106 F is halfway to boiling? Why not? Sure, you say.<\/p>\n<p>Now, in Celsius, boiling is 100 degrees. So halfway to boiling is 50 C.<\/p>\n<p>And 50 degrees Celsius equals&#8230;122 F. So halfway to boiling Celsius is hotter than halfway Fahrenheit.<\/p>\n<p>I know. This isn&#8217;t news to you physics majors and sciency types.
