RIGHT NOW.<\/p>\n<p>A colleague was asked, in nicer language than that below:<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;Did you do what you said you were going to do?&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>And she responded in exactly the following words:<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;To be honest, that fell off my radar.&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>I love it. I love preceding the meat of the statement with a promise of honesty. And I love blaming the radar, or the item that &#8220;fell,&#8221; or maybe even gravity itself for pulling the item down.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s radar. It&#8217;s not &#8220;my mind,&#8221; as in, &#8220;it slipped my mind.&#8221; Your mind is really your domain, but your radar? That&#8217;s not a personal thing. Hell, maybe your radar is broken.
