From late 2000 until mid-2005, I occasionally contributed posts to a blog called, “Why oh Why†(or sometimes YOY). There were several contributors, most of whom I barely knew.
But then, technical problems killed Why oh Why. Or so I thought.
In fact, Why oh Why was licking its wounds, recuperating, rebuilding, and re-other stuff-ing, until yesterday, when it burst forth in a bloom of metaphor to reappear in the outer reaches of the unknown parts of the blogosphere.
I’ve added the link under “Friends.†I post there as Pereger, for reasons too complex and boring to explain.
[And for some other crazy, impossible to explain reason, many of the posts in the archive over there are listed as being mine (Pereger), but were written by someone else. Something bad happened in the re-awakening; from now on, all the attributes should work properly.]
As it happens, I have no ethical issue with stealing interesting things I said there (years ago) and posting them here. I also have no ethical issue with stealing boring things I’ve said there. In short, when I don’t feel like writing something new, I’ll probably scour the Why oh Why archives for posts, and throw them up here.
And not only that, but I’ll edit them if I feel like it, and actually CHANGE HISTORY! ‘Cause sometimes I don’t like exactly what I wrote 4 years ago.
You won’t mind, because you never read Why oh Why back then, and if you did, you already forgot those posts, and if you didn’t forget, then you probably are also guilty of taking old material and posting it in a new blog. Yes, I’m talking to you.
