I use NetNewsWire as my RSS reader. I like it. And I use iWeb as my blog-builder. I like parts of it, but hate a lot of it. I just haven’t found the time to switch.
Anyway, something in the mix of these two programs creates an annoyance that I’m not sure how to fix. In short, when I check out this blog in NetNewsWire, it doesn’t even show that comments exist.
The main page looks just like it does if I go to weeklyrob.com on the Net, except that under each post, there’s only “Read More.†No “Comments.â€
And if I view a post, it’s the same thing. Just like the Net, but nothing at all showing that comments are available, let alone that there’s a whole discussion going on.
Most other blogs that I view on NetNewsWire do show comments, or at least a link to see them, so I figure it’s iWeb that’s wonky.
In any case, if you’re out there reading this from a newsreader and can’t see a link for comments, come on and take a look from the Web. You’ll be disappointed, of course, but at least you’ll know for sure you’re not missing anything!
