MySpace Spam

I have a MySpace page. I make no apologies, but I don’t really go very often. Today, I dropped in and saw that I had a message from January. (As I say, I don’t go very often.)

The message is from a girl I don’t know. Krystal. Here’s what she says:

Hey Robert,

How’s it goin? I’m Kristy, I just moved to the Atlanta area and I wanna meet a nice guy around here :-). I moved here to Georgia a couple of weeks ago for work and now that I’m here I have nobody to hang out with! I read your profile… You’re cute and I liked what you had to say :-).

I’m 24/F/single and I’m lookin for a guy who is a little bit older or more mature than me. You say you’re 37 and you’re cute so I guess you’re qualified 🙂

My friend Jen from back home suggested I tried using myspace to meet people in my area. I just signed up and my profile sux hehe. I do have a blog/profile page at [Link to site that no longer works anyway, but rest assured that one of the elements of the site came from “thecleavage.com”] I have alot of photos and stuff up if you wanna see me.

A few points to note here:

1. Here is the grand total of what I say in my profile (she liked what I had to say):

2. Here is my MySpace picture, which she found to be so cute:

3. Her profile says that she lives in Harrisburg, PA. Not Georgia.

4. It’s August, and she still doesn’t have anything in her profile.

Now, believe it or not, I’m not trying to say that this is a transparent piece of spam. My point is that it’s actually pretty good.

The thing mentions my home city, my name, and knows how old I was in January. That’s pretty good. I’m impressed. I know that all that info is right there on the page, but most spam I get is incredibly obvious in comparison.

Kristal’s creator, I’m proud of you. And thanks for saying I’m cute.
