New Dating Technique

Sucker! You thought I was going to tell you how to go from movie and dinner to breakfast in bed?

No.

But scientists have found a way to tell the age of ceramics, which are impervious to carbon dating. At the moment, they can only date back a couple of thousand years, but they’re trying to extend that to 10,000.

This is a pretty big deal.

While I agree that this is interesting, it won’t have a major impact on our understanding of historical artifacts until they come up with a better name for the process. “Rehydroxylation” just doesn’t have the simultaneous cadence and solidity of “carbon dating”. And just try and write a song with rehydroxylation in the lyrics! It would come out like that lame NXS song where they randomly rhymed “ate” words. Maybe P&G could help them figure this out.
