Put it this way:
We were mainly in the plains. What does that tell you about the weather we had?
Everyone kept saying how unusual it was that it rained every day and was cold. So… lucky us, we had unusual weather.
But it was nice to see the aunt and uncle, and the tapas were very good. So overall, a happy Spain experience. See some pics. [Note that you can change how the images are displayed. Check out the tools at the bottom of the gallery page.]
I’ve been out of current events, and am even more sleep-deprived than usual, so not much by way of post.
One thing:
I’ve previously posted about the interesting fact that it’s socially acceptable to humorously fake a French accent, but not a Chinese one. It seems to be about the listener’s idea of Chinese people being more vulnerable (in the US) than French people. But is that all there is to it?
The latest Wilson’s Quarterly issue distills an article by a philosopher asking similar questions.
