AT&T Can't Keep a Secret

Apparently, AT&T is defending itself in a law suit accusing it of illegally aiding the government in monitoring Internet traffic. Something like that.

AT&T has released a PDF of its response, with sensitive portions blacked out. You can download the PDF and have a look for yourself.

The problem? Certain PDF readers (including Preview for OS X, which I use), allow you to copy the blacked out portion, then paste it somewhere else as the original text!

You can read about it and download the PDF on CNET.

(I got the link from Slashdot.)

Nice to know they’re so careful! I’ve also found a DSL qualification tool they’ve set up that will allow me to get past unlisted numbers. This is clearly not a company concerned with privacy!
