I’ve added a new category to weeklyrob blog posts: Personal
I never intended to write about anything more personal than my opinions, and each time I’ve posted something about my actual life, I’ve thought of it as an exception. But I guess I should just accept that every now and then I want to put something here about myself or my family.
So here it is:
Tomorrow, the kid turns 1. We had a little party yesterday, and the stuffed animals had their own party hats, supplied by my wife the miniature-hat maker.
Congratulations Rob and a happy first birthday to Piper.
Best wishes for the future.
Cheers
Thanks, Thomas. I had heard a rumor that you occasionally read this blog. I’m glad you commented.
Ditto. Even making unhappy faces, your daughter is cute. I can barely remember when mine was 1—a few more months and she’ll be all graduated and ready to support us. Take plenty of pictures, and in twenty-one years you too can have a box full of pictures.
I almost made a snarky reference to the miniature wife, but the dash really makes it a non-starter.
That reminds me. I saw a grammatical mistake in an article in America’s Finest News Source today. I was surprised and disappointed.
Thanks Bruce.
I won’t have a box full of pictures. I’ll have a hard disk full of pictures. I’ve got close to 2,000 of the baby in her first year. That’ll slow down, I’m sure.
I’m glad to hear that the dash served its purpose well. It was, I’m sure you know, carefully considered.
Can’t promise any more responding to comments for a week or so….
Yay for being one! I can’t wait to see the pics from David.
I also was relieved about the hyphen in the phrase about the wife. I’d hate to think she shrunk to ant size since the last time I saw her.
